This Fig Almond Smoothie is naturally sweet, creamy, and takes just 5 minutes to prepare. With only four ingredients, it's a simple and satisfying way to start your day.
The ripe figs add a unique flavor and pair beautifully with almond milk and frozen bananas, making this smoothie a great alternative to processed breakfast options.

I first made this Fig Almond Smoothie during fig season, and it quickly became my go-to when I wanted something wholesome but quick. My kids love how sweet it tastes without any added sugar, and I often add a spoonful of almond butter to make it more filling for myself.

If you're looking for naturally sweet fruit smoothies, you might enjoy the Mango Peanut Butter Smoothie or the creamy Banana Tahini Smoothie; both are favorites in our house.

Ingredients

  • 6 figs fresh
  • 2 bananas fresh or frozen
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Wash the fresh figs and remove the stems.
  • Add figs, bananas, almond milk, and vanilla extract to a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Here are some of my tips and substitutions I make often at my home:
  • If fresh figs aren't available, soak 4–5 dried figs in warm water for 15–20 minutes and use them as an alternative.
  • For extra richness or protein, add one tablespoon of almond butter or your favorite protein powder.
  • You can also replace almond milk with oat milk or cashew milk.
  • Frozen banana will make the smoothie creamy and thick.
